WHAT YOU NEED

Provisional licence or car licence with provisional motorcycle entitlement (which is Category A)

CBT certificate.

WHAT RESTRICTIONS

You are restricted  a “light motorcycle” licence. (or “A1” as its called)

This means you can ride any machine up to 125cc. (11kw)

After CBT you will carry on with lessons on a 125cc in preparation for your test.

Step 1

PASS YOUR MOTORCYCLE THEORY TEST

NOTE If you hold a valid motorcycle theory test certificate, or if you have held your A1 licence for more than 2 years you do not have to re-take your theory test.

Step 2

PASS YOUR MODULE 1 TEST

BIKE SIZE – UP TO 125cc

The module 1 test lasts about 10 minutes and we will teach you how to prepare for this through practice both in our own large training areas and the Driving & Vehicles Standards Agency test off road test centre.

Step 3

PASS YOUR MODULE 2 TEST

BIKE SIZE – UP TO 125cc

The module 2 test lasts about 35 – 40 minutes and covers a variety of road conditions and situations. A DVSA examiner takes you for this test.

Our lessons are aimed at ensuring you are well prepared for your test – both mentally and or course, your riding ability.

Once you have passed your test on your 125cc bike you can get rid of those L plates.

YOU ARE RESTRICTED TO THIS SIZE OF BIKE  FOR EVER.
YOU CANNOT RIDE A LARGER BIKE WITHOUT TAKING ANOTHER TEST. SEE OUR GUIDES FOR AGED Aged 19-23 AND Aged 24+.
